Easter

Finally I got the chance to sit in front of my computer to write a blog. First of all, Happy Easter to all of you who celebrate it. Hopefully it can bring new spirit n joy that give you strength to try harder…to be a better person….

Well.. Today I’ve been busy with house chores and also made some modification to my motorcycle. Woke up today at about 9AM, feeling very fresh. Last nite went to sleep at around 1 sth AM after chatting w Hansel, Meli LG, Indah n Diana. After I got up I went to Jef’s to buy some paint and thinner. Then went to Remaja to buy a paint brush, bought Kompas n then bought T key. All of these were used in my motorcycle modification. Went back home, washed the motor and then made the modif. I painted the license plate and the rear handle. It took quite some time to do them all. Finished at about 3 sth PM. The mom went home and got another chore, making this small cupboard. All I had to do was assemble the component. It didn’t take too long to finish. After that I ate n now…I’m sitting and writing this blog.

Easter….kept some promises, broke some. Managed to control myself not to give in to the temptation to play pool during lent, but on the other hand there’re few things that I still did. * Sigh…this is all a learning process…but I gotta be better….

Yesterday was quite busy day too. Woke up at 8.30 AM, went to AHASS at 8.50 AM to get the 1^t service for my motorcycle (from now on I’m gonna call her Elisha). Got #17…I though it would take long so I ate but it didn’t take too long. At 11 AM the mechanic already finished inspecting Elisha. I went home and then went to Permai to get some sticker for Elisha. After that went back home and sprayed the stengkas (dunno the term in english) black. After that took a nap coz I was still feeling tired coz of the previous nite. Woke up at 5 PM, took a bath, went to church to attend Easter Vigil mass at 6 PM. The mass ended at 9 sth PM, went back home n then went to store.

Friday was a painful day for me. It began normal in the morning. I woke up at 8.40 AM, quickly took a bath n then went to church to follow Via Dolorosa. It rained in the middle, but luckily it stopped not long after it began to rain. But it rained quite hard though. Then I went to Artha Gadink to see Sports Warehouse sale. Bought Speedo swimming trunks and Puma tank top. Both were very satisfying. Bought Entrasol at Diamon. Went to C4 Cempaka Mas to buy Oil for Elisha, but couldn’t find it. Went back home, ate lunch, went to gadink to buy the oil. Got it, washed Elisha and then took a nap, planning to attend the afternoon Good Friday mass. But my body didn’t cooperate and I drifted to sleep until almost 8. And I paid the price for my absence (maybe…;p) later that nite…I didn’t know why, but my stomach was killing me. It’s very painful. The pain was excruciating. I couldn’t sleep. I tried to eat Indomie, but it didn’t help. I lost count how many times I went to bathroom that nite. I finally got to sleep at 4 AM, maybe because my body was already too tired with the pain itself. I think I’ve never had stomachache that bad. Maybe coz I only ate once that day…

Thursday went to Inul Vizta Plangi with my workmate, karaoke for two hours, went home by cab, David dropped me off at Casablanca. Nothing else quite eventful on that day…work was dull…but I had to prepare my move, so I wrote lots of notes for my successor to help him/her in handling the clients I handle.

Well…easter…gotta make this as a starting point to do better….

After I got this song from my friend, Irwan, I’ve been listening to it so many times I lost count. I really like it.

Okay….start from April 1^st. It was April’s bday. Bought helmet and glove that day. I found a great helmet at Sawah Besar. It’s simple blue without any stripping whatsoever.

On April 2^nd went to Happy Puppy w David. No one else could come so it’s only us singing until David’s friends came. After that we went to Sandi’s house n ordered Pizza there, chatted n I went back at 5.30 PM

Nothing eventful on April 3^rd n 4^th except for Irene’s bday on April 3^rd and Widya’s bday on April 4^th. Addicted to Zuma, played it at lunch times. And also watching DVDs like Transporter 2 and She’s All That. Rachel Leigh Cook was very cute in that movie. Saw an interesting opening at Binuscareer for IT Staff position at ANZ Panin Bank. I applied for it on April 4^th, n then I remembered that ANZ was one of our client who just took in-house class on Saturday. The following day which also happened to be VY’s bday, I asked Coy, my colleague if she know the HR personnel at ANZ. Better than I expected, Coy helped me by sending my CV directly to Ms Annette. Wow… She sent it in the morning and in the afternoon Ms Annette called me to arrange an interview.

Attended the interview on April 6^th. I took half day off in the morning. I was interviewed by Ms Astri from HR n Mr Niko the IT Manager. Ms Annette was on a meeting so Ms Astri replaced her. After the interview I was very sure that I’ll be accepted, I could tell from their responses to my answers for their questions. I stopped by at Verra’s office for a while n then headed to office. Had a meeting w DAI in the afternoon. We were supposed to meet with Ms Feri, but she’s got a little accident n had to come home. But we ended up had a meeting with the deputy. She’s very beautiful woman. She’s an American, from Midwest. I found it quite hard to concentrate on the meeting, I had to put a lot of effort to keep up with the conversation while admiring her beauty. Watched The Legend of Zorro later that night. I called Siska n asked her opinion about ANZ, n other banking institution.

Yesterday on April 7th I got surprising news. When I was waiting for ANZ to call me to say that I’m accepted, I got a call from Accenture. They wanted me to join asap. I said I’d need 4 weeks notice, n she (Ms Fanny) asked me to join at May 1^st. To make things more interesting, I got a call from ANZ in the afternoon. Ms Astri called me, informed about the salary, benefits, etc. WOW…..in one day both of them asked me to join. God finally hear my prayers…hehehe. Well actually I’m sure He always listens, but I guess He wanted to know my determination. Sometimes it depresses to pray but nothing seems to happen. Anyway..Thank you God. Well I made my decision to take the Accenture offer. It’s offer was better. Last night called Liana to say happy birthday to her. Her voice was still heard so cuteeee….

Today played badminton again…after so long. I told Julius that I soon be joining him at Accenture. After that I went to sawah besar to look for motorcycles rims. Bought Playboy Indonesia Premiere edition today. It’s finally released yesterday. After I read it I could tell that it sucked. Nothing interesting. I’m so sleepyyyy…..I’ll end here…it’s already over midnight…April 9^th officially. Today’s Eddy’s bday….I have so many friends whose birthday are on this month…. Guess that’s all…I’m off to bed

Summary

Hmmmmm…for start, got my bike (March 25, 2006), used it to go to the office twice, bought some accessories yesterday with Agus. Met Dave yesterday at Artha Gadink for a while, when we were at food court I saw Amelia Bonaventura. I sent sms to confirm and it was her.

March 25, 2006. KRK Welcome To My World was great. Met Cornelia again after so long. She seemed slimmer n beautiful as usual. Went home at 1 AM after dropping off the girls.

March 28, 2006. Finally closed this month in “safe zone”, thanks to the Aus Embassy.

March 24, 2006. Went to the PEB Prom Happy Hour. It was great, met Patricia in person for the first time. Met lots of people there.

Lots of other things that I already forgot…..and I’m so sleepy now…so that’s all…. Tears For Fears song, Secret World is being played at the moment…brings back fond memories of Perth……ahhhhhhhhhhh

Wicker Park

Just finished watching two movies, two actresses who appeared in both movies, and apparently (after watching the 3 n the original movie of the 2 one) hollywood also makes translation movies.

The first movie I watched today was Troy. Quite good, an epic one; just look at the duration. Brad Pitt really had a killer body, not like Mr. Universe, but his body was well toned. His muscles weren’t too big, but well defined. Damnnnn…. I envy him…lol

The two actresses that I was talking about were Diane Kruger and Rose Byrne. Diane also had a great body. Overall, Troy was a good movie.

The second one was Wicker Park. When I read the lines at the beginning of the movie I was intrigued coz it said that the movie was based on “L’Appartment” screenplay. I remember that it was quite old movie starred by (the lovely) Monica Belucci and her husband in real life, Vincet Cassel. At first I had to try hard to understand the plot, but after half an hour I got the whole topic. The main idea was Alexis (played by Rose Byrne, aka Briseis in Troy) who fell in love with Matthew (Josh Harnett), but Mathhew fell in love at first sight to Alexis’ friend, Lisa (played Diane Kruger, aka Helen in Troy). Alexis did everything to separate them both, but like most of Hollywood movies, it ends happily. After watching
Wicker Park, I watched L’Appartment and it was the same. Even the main character’s name was the same, Lisa. But the ending was different and Monica Belucci was far more beautiful than Diane Kruger (at least according to me). Actually European movies are good, some of them are excellent, but I think the main reason why they aren’t so popular is because of the language. Yeah, English is universal language. I use it to write my blog…hahahaha. But anyway, I like Wicker Park better than Troy. The plot was more interesting. And at the ending scene, Coldplay song’s The Scientist was played, a very good one…one of my fav….Now I need to take some nap….

All ‘bout the Money

I was shocked when I read today’s newspaper. The headline said that 3 policemen and 1 military personnel died during demonstration in Abepura, Papua. The news was horrifying, I read that the policemen was trying to open up the barricade in front of Cendrawasih Univ. The demonstrators were protesting about FreeportIndonesia. Freeport Indonesia has been there since 1967 and till now Papua can be considered as one of Indonesia region that still underdeveloped. The bountiful mineral resources that Papua have don’t contribute much to its development. I guess this is the dominant factor that really hurts Papuan. How can they experience famine (the most prominent was Yahukimo case) with all the natural resources they have? But this doesn’t allow them take it up by beating up policemen till they dead. I don’t know what‘s really going on there at the time, but seeing the picture at Kompas and reading the news made me very sad.

The policemen were only 50, while the demonstrators were 500 something. They threw large rocks and other stuffs to the policemen and because they police was outnumbered they ran, trying to save themselves from the raging mass. Unfortunately for those three officers, they tripped and fell down. The mass stomped them, kicked them and eventually threw human head sized rock to their head, while they lied helplessly from the beating n kicking. It’s very brutal. What was it all about? The policemen were just trying to do their job; I think the victims were innocent. When policemen are killed in this kind of incident, few (maybe none) people appeal for human rights violation, but when the demonstrators are injured or killed, they start complaining about human rights. What about human rights for those policemen? They’re human too. I guess I can conclude that this is all about the money. The money from the resources that Papuan should get for their province development. It’s sad, but it’s happened….and may still happens….

I can only offer my sympathy, my deep condolences for the family they left behind..God bless their souls and give strength to their family.
