Patience n Condolence

It’s been trial week. So many things didn’t go like I hoped they’d be. From YM blocking to my HD problem. It really got me on the edge. It’s hard to keep a positive mindset under these pressures and when things went awry. God really tempted my patience. But it finally passed. Things are getting better. There’s one song that help me get through the rough times. It’s Spin. Actually this song is about social issues around the world. From politics, disease, poverty, health, hunger, etc. But there’s a part in the chorus that’ very good. The song it self is upbeat, kinda old disco song. It’s excellent. Darren Hayes really created an excellent song, no wonder he named his solo debut album Spin.

Spin by Darren Hayes

Governments elected, nobody votes.
Politically correct, isn't that a joke?
We censor music then give children guns.
On CNN, still fighting to death over Jerusalem.
A four letter disease still makes us run,
Can't comprehend that you can die from Love.

Can I start things over, and change your mind?
Can a single melody press rewind?
Can I move your feet, make your heart skip a beat?
Can a simple tune flow through you?
When the music feels like this,
When you lose control you gotta go with it.
Ten feet high, flying above the sky.
Your problems don't exist, when music feels like this.

No money left in Africa
Starvin' to death In Bosnia
we close our eyes and hide a nation's cries
And In the West TV Possessed and weight obsessed
The media dissects, infects
We think real life is reality TV

Can I have your attention and press rewind?
When the DJ spins, will it change your mind?
Can I move your feet, make your heart skip a beat?
Can a piece of me flow through you?
When the music feels like this,
When you lose control, you gotta go with it.
Ten feet high flying above the sky.
Your problems don't exist, when music feels like this.

When the music feels like this,
DJ take control and grab a hold of me.
Spin that wheel, tell me how to feel.
I like the shape I'm in, when music feels like this.

Bringin' the beat back, stompin' the floor.
Dancin' like a booty never bounced before.
Poppin' to the back beat, up on the one.
Smack Jack Freakin' now you're overcome.

When the music feels like this,
When you lose control, you gotta go with it.
Ten feet high, flying above the sky.
Your problems don't exist, when music feels like this.

When the music feels like this,
DJ take control and grab a hold of me.
Spin that wheel, tell me how to feel.
I like the shape I'm in, when music feels like this.

Let the music in
Let the DJ spin
Let the music in
Cuz the music should feel
Like this
Let the music in
Let the DJ spin
Let the music in
The Music Feels like this

When the music feels like(repeat to fade)

On Friday I got a very shocking news. A Binus student was raped n murdered in her kost room. It happened on Thursday, August 4, 2005. I got the news from my Binus mailing list. I was speechless when I read about it. Her name was Yeni ho. Police already got a suspect. I hope that the person who did this will be punished….HARD!!! She was currently working on her thesis, just another step before she graduate from the university. Damn it, she’s just only 21…still got so many things in her life, but that fuckin bastard took that away. I imagined if I was The Punisher, I’d hunt down the bastard who did it and… I’d let him live, but I’d make sure that he would rather die than live…after I punished him…Justice must prevail… *deep sigh* okay calm down. I can only offer my deepest condolence for her family and a simple prayer that she gets an eternal life in Heaven beside God.

Today I wasn’t feeling well so didn’t play badminton. Instead, I went to Jefs to brrow his HD. We played WE n he told me that Yeni was his friend. She was his classmate in his 3rd term. *sigh*…I attended the afternoon mass. The pastor was Samuel Pangestu, Pr from Mother Theresa paroki (I don’t know the English for paroki….anybody care to tell me??). His sermon was good, about God’s presence in our entire life. God is always there, we just don’t realize it. He also sang Josh Groban’s You Raise Me up. An excellent choice, very appropriate with his sermon. “..You raise me up to walk on stormy seas…I am strong when I’m on your shoulders..You raise me up to more than I can be…”. Well that’s all for now..I really need some sleep.

Btw..before I forgot, today is Rafaela’s n Agus’ birthday. Congrats to both of you. Have a successful year ahead. Best wishes for you….

You Raise Me Up by Josh Groban

When I am down and, oh my soul, so weary
When troubles come and my heart burdened be
Then, I am still and wait here in the silence
Until you come and sit awhile with me

You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains
You raise me up, to walk on stormy seas
I am strong, when I am on your shoulders
You raise me up...to more than I can be

(Music plays for 30 seconds)

You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains
You raise me up, to walk on stormy seas
I am strong, when I am on your shoulders
You raise me up...to more than I can be

(Choir comes in background as music comes in hard)

You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains
You raise me up, to walk on stormy seas
I am strong, when I am on your shoulders
You raise me up...to more than I can be

You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains
You raise me up, to walk on stormy seas
(Choir exits and music softens)
I am strong, when I am on your shoulders
You raise me up...to more than I can be

You raise me up...to more than I can be
