Two Weeks

Here I am, sitting in front of my computer. Trying so hard to find the most appropriate title for this post. But I just can’t seem to find the right one, so I’ll just use the simple title. It’s been two weeks since my last post, so it’s gonna be a long one. Ready?

August 8 - 12, 2005

Another weekday. There were clients from TELKOM and also British Embassy that took training in this week. I spent most of my time in the office finishing the legal document which was needed for TELKOM. The client from British Embassy was quite eccentric. She loved purple. From her dress, her make up, even she asked for a purple ballpoint. Nothing out of the ordinary. At August 9, 2005, David had his thesis trial. He passed with C grade. He’s a economic bachelor now. Congrats for you, David. He gave me one of the best testimonials I ever had. I really appreciate the way he considers me as. Well, I think all of my childhood friends already finished their univ time…except for Jefry, he’s working on his thesis at the moment. At the end of this weekday (on Friday), I played pool with my workmate at La Forca Setiabudi One. I don’t why but during those times I really liked Sarah Brightman – Here With Me. It’s the soundtrack for Roswell (the one which is sang by Dido.) I really liked her voice, it had different style. Not like Dido (I’m not saying that Dido’s voice is not beautiful, but Sarah’s is different…you gotta hear it). And the ending is also awesome. I quoted some of the lyric and put it on my friendster profile. It’s a very very ………………song. I just can’t find the word. You really gotta hear for yourself.

Went to Auto 2000 Djuanda to renew my car license(actually my sis’ car, but I’m using it since she’s taking her master degree at CUT, Perth). Went there early, but it turned out that I didn’t bring enough documents that were needed to process. So I must go back there with the other documents. After that (since it was still early), I went to Glodok. I looked around, bought some DVDs (Batman Begins, Elektra, Artificial Intelengence, Wedding Crasher). I also bought HDD cable. And then I went to campus. I must park my car at Anggrek since there was some kind of expo (it was the last day of Student Orientation Week) at Syahdan. I met David in front of the Admission office at 11 AM. We had planned to go karaoke on Saturday with Bowo and Agus. After that I went to syahdan and David went to his friend’s place to make some revision for their thesis. I went to syahdan, went to H2H to get my Graduation Certificate. Met Iing and Febri. There weren’t so many people at that time (around 11.30 AM). Then I met Yakin and Caroline. What a coincidence. I told them it’s gonna be great to go karaoke together. They said next Saturday’s okay. And then they went back home. I stayed there, waiting for Dave. And then one by one my friends came. Indah, Verra, Yanti, Laura, Yunita, Ronaldy, Yosep etc. It began to rain at 1.30 sth PM. I looked down and saw the people started to pack up the stuffs, avoiding the rain. *sigh* Four years ago I was one of them, still excited and a lil bit unsure if I can measure up quite good at univ. Watching them reminded me how time went by so fast. In a blink of an eye, I already graduated and that Saturday maybe the last visit to campus. I remembered the song I had when I was having my Student Orinetation Week. It was Richie Ren - Lang Hua Yi Duo Duo (modified a bit). I liked the song instantly. I even bought the VCD (since the song was a film soundtrack), Summer Holiday (Richie Ren and Sammi Cheng).

Dave came at about 2 PM. I gave him his stuffs we talked for a lil bit. And then he asked, “So…this is it? You want to go?” The question really made me think. Yeah..now we don’t spend much together again. I remember the glorious days at campus, all the times we had together, all the things we experienced. Now, we already busy with our own life. Everything changed. We just meet, chit-chat and go our own separate ways. We started to slip away, drifted by our own activities. We don’t talk much anymore. It’s sad, but that’s the way it is. We have to continue our life. Our life has brought us to different paths. But I really hope that we can keep in touch. Keep the friendship alive.

After that I waved goodbye to Dave, went to Anggrek to meet David. We ate and at 3 PM we went to NAV Gadink. Arrived there at 4PM something, Bowo was just arriving too. Another coincidence. We got room #7. We booked for 2 hours. This time we had just one pitcher of beer..lol plus Kacang Mede (anybody knows the English for kacang mede???). As usual, I sang She Will Be Loved by Maroon 5. And then I also sang Lang Hua Yi Duo Duo, and Here With Me…hahaha. Agus came about 5 PM. I was having great time. It’s always been a pleasant experience to karaoke w these guys. After that David went home, while me, Agus n Bowo went to Gadink Food City to played some pool. We played pool until 7.30 PM, then we went home.

August 13 was also Leo Gazali’s bday. He’s a computer programming freak. He’s very smart…. Happy Birthday to you LG…more success…

Novi’s birthday. Sunday. Went to King Photo to take some pictures (there was some kind of error with the previous pics they took at my graduation ceremony). Went there, arrived at 11 AM. Waited for an hour while mom having her make up done. Met Edina, took the pictures and went back home. After that I went to Gadink, to take some pictures at FIP that I ordered to print at Saturday. After that I went to Celeb Fitness. Yeah, I got this 7 days free trial membership. I worked out quite hard…too hard actually. I think I pushed over the limit since I hadn’t gone to the gym for more than a year. The last time I went to gym was back in January 2004 (I think). As a result, my body felt very very sore. But Celeb Fitness really offers luxurious facilities. It has sauna, steam room, shower with soap and shampoo. They even provide the towel. Very luxurious. I went back, met Natalia. We went to church together to attend the afternoon mass.

I paid the price for my over exercise on Monday – Thursday. I couldn’t move my hand freely. This weekday went by so fast. At Tuesday I went to ACC Fatmawati to get the document needed for my car license. Wedmesday, August 17, 2005 is the 60^th Indonesian Independence Day. Nothing special. Although we already independent for 60 years, there are still so many issues that need government attention. Well, anyway I still celebrate it my own way. I raise the flag, went to Jef to play WE with Eddy and then went back home to get some rest….lol. Watched Artificial Intelligence. Another excellent movie by Steven Spielberg, a very good one.

I got this morning call from the Ford Foundation, I went there with Aries and when we arrived there, they said that the electricity went down. They said that the electricity went down in Jakarta n Tangerang. We stayed there till 12.30 PM, went back to the office. The electricity still down. At 2.30 PM, our director finally told us to go home since there was nothing to do without electricity. I played pool with my workmate till 4.30 PM. Went back home after that.

Nothing much to do, making proposal for TELKOM. At lunch time played pool with Indro (I think I already played too much). There was this stunning girl who also played on the table beside ours. Day went by fast, At 3 PM went to ICRC. After that went back home…Home sweet home…

Got nice sleep, got up, read comics that I got from Marcell. Watched The L Word serial and then at 2 PM I went to Celeb Fitness once again. After that went to Church, store and after it closed I went to Kramat 128 hospital to visit a neighbor who was being treated there. She just had an operation. After that went back home and I got another decent sleep.

Today….hmm…planning on relaxing and get some nice sleep to save some energy for next week. Happy Birthday for Chi Chi… Today’s her birthday. Best wishes for you, gal….
