End Year Weekend

What a weekend to end this year....
My days at BP is officially over, but not before I put my last effort there, scoring went home at almost 10 PM two days in a row. Yesterday had a blast at Jetski Cafe, PIK. Robert invited us, the Zoo Clas to a dinner to celebrate his birthday. At first I planned to go to TA (our rendezvous point) by bus, but the weather was unfriendly. It rained just before I was about to go. So I decided to drive Karen. Eddy had a sudden change of mind and decided to come with his gf. He texted me just after I decided to take Karen instead of bus. So the three of us went to TA. Before we met Robert there, we attended afternoon mass at MBK. It's always nice to go there. But yesterday we had to sit in the back since we're a bit late. After the mass we went to TA, Robert just finished having his hair cut.

Then we gathered, Berku and his gf, Yuli and her bf. I realized, except me, they're all couples...darn...Going out with them made me feel as an outcast a lil bit...but who cares...Dave called and he said he'd arrived at Jetski Cafe. We went there and when we arrived, Nelly, Novi, Jef and Wilhan were already there. We sat and ordered some foods. There's this live music there and I noticed that the performers were the audience, the cafe visitors. I asked Robert whether we could sing there. He said we could. I was intrigued and when I saw that there're 3 guys singing Bon Jovi - It's My Life, I knew I wanted to sing too.. '....It's my life...it's now or never...I ain't gonna live forever....' So I went to register myself to sing after those guys. After a few performances, I was called on stage. I picked two songs. The first was none other than my song of the year, Peterpan - Menghapus Jejakmu. The second was Samsons - Kisah Tak Sempurna... I think the sound system was better than at Happy Puppy. I sang there and my friends cheered me up. I might say that I sang well. Yeah....it was an incredible nite. My first public on stage performance...lolzz.... After that we talked and I lost my concentration because there was EPL game between WHU agains MU. Not to mention there's a cuteeeeee girl who's sitting at the table next to ours. Too bad she's there with her bf (or so I thought..but I was sure seeing her body language towards him). Not so long after that...She and her bf went on stage and performed a duet, after that her bf went back and she sang alone...Darn she's really cuteeeee.......Why do cute girls usually already have bf...why......tell me whyyyyy???? *desperate screammmm....lolzzzz.... After that we waited for Dave's turn to sing. He sang two songs also. The first was Repvblik - Hanya Ingin Kau Tahu and the second was Naff - Kau Masih Kekasihku. I said teasingly to Cynthia that she need not to be worry since the song Dave sang was for me...his lover...lolzzzzzz....She laughed hearing that.....Then after that we parted our ways. Me, Eddy, Devi, Robert and his wife, Berku and his gf, Dave and Cynthia went to Markas to play some pool. Wow...it's been ages since the last time I played, esp after I resigned from my previous job. It turned out that I still have some touch...not bad...reminded me of our univ days...Me, Robert, Dave and Eddy...but last nite we're all (except me) brought our spouses....so long bachelor days...lolzz....Went back home, chatted a bit with Sissi then went to sleep.... What a beautiful day... :D

Today woke up at 11 AM, waiting for Lize's sms. She came from Surabaya and we planned to meet, have a little gathering. She finally texted at around 1 PM, said she's free from 4 - 9 PM. I told Rian and Shella, Rian couldn't come. Shella said she'd probably come, depends on her husband. I picked up Lize at Senci around 3 sth PM then we went to PS. She's beautiful and looked just like in her pic. Finally after more than a year we got to meet in person :D. I just found out that it's quite stressing to find a parking space at PS, esp on Sunday. We spent almost half an hour to get one. We walked around PS, sat and talked a bit at Starbucks while waiting for Bastian who'd a meeting with Winda (Later I found out that she's one of the Indonesian Idol contestant and the one who played Sasya in OB). We met Bastian, Winda and her manager at Matcha Moon. Shella came not so long after that. She's with her husband and her daughter. We talked a bit, Shella went with her family...she came all way to PS just to meet Charlize...Lize...you should be flattered :D:D:D. Then we moved to Sushi Tei. We ate some sushi there, took some pics with the guest star(s), Lize and Winda...then I dropped Lize off at Pasific Place where she'd meet her husband and son.

And that wrapped a great weekend. Tomorrow..a plan has been laid out by Jomblo Formation to spend the new year's eve...So I better sign off and save some energy for tomorrow....

See y'all in the year of 2008.... I'm pretty sure I won't be able to write tomorrow, so allow me to say this earlier....Happy New Year...More success in everything you do in throughout the year...

Btw...just crossed my mind...today's Kristin Kreuk's bday. Happy Birthday to you Kristin...though we've never met...hahahaha...wish u all the best.....I'll never forget the first time I saw you on Smallville season 1....

2007 Dreamer’s Award

After long overdue.. thanks to the crazy last two days at BP, here it is…

Best Indonesian Song
Nominees:
- Peterpan - Menghapus Jejakmu
- Dygta - Tak Bisa Memiliki
- Ungu – Aku Bukanlah Pilihan Hatimu
- Samsons – Kisah Tak Sempurna
- Letto – Sebelum Cahaya

Winner : Peterpan – Menghapus Jejakmu
Undisputed decision

Best Western Song
Nominees:
- Gwen Stefani – 4 in the morning
- Enrique Iglesias – Do You Know (The Ping Pong Song)
- Travis – Closer
- Michael Fredo – Love All Over Again*
- Fergie – Big Girls Don’t Cry
- Backstreet Boys - Inconsolable
- Timbaland feat One Republic – Apologize

Winner : Gwen Stefani – 4 in the morning
This was hard. They all deserve to win, in fact by being nominees they already hold special place since it means I remember (and often sing :D) these songs.

Best Mandarin Song
Nominees:
- Nicolas Teo – Ji Mo Bian Jie*
- Jay Chou – Yi Lu Xiang Bei*
- Jay Chou – Cai Hong
- Guang Liang – Yue Ding

Winner : Nicolas Teo – Ji Mo Bian Jie
Since I left university, there’s not much update on mandarin music. Nicolas Teo’s song is really great and deserve this award.

Song of the Year :
Peterpan – Menghapus Jejakmu
Since I first heard it in June, it never missed from being played in my playlist. Simple, catchy and incredible song. The lyric is excellent. Just like in Music and Lyric, lyric is the soul of a song…..two thumbs up for Peterpan, too bad they splitted after their latest album.

Best Movie
Nominees:
- 300
- Transformers
- Spiderman 3
- Music and Lyics
- Rush Hour 3
- The Nanny Diaries

Winner : Spiderman 3
Tight competition here between Spiderman 3 and Music n Lyrics. But again, I’m more of Peter Parker fan and the moral messages was wittily inserted into the plot. Transformers was great, but Optimus Prime and Megan Fox need more to be #1.

Best TV Serial :
Nominees:
- Smallville
- Lost
- Desperate Housewives
- House
- Prison Break
- Gilmore Girls

Winner : House
Smallville (or should I say Kristin Kreuk) has lost its charm. It’s no longer as intriguing and exciting as in its first three seasons. Lost was getting more complicated. Desperate Housewives still entertaining. Prison Break season 3 is better then season 2, but still season 1 is the best, not to mention that Sarah “Dr. Sara Tancredi” Wayne Callies is out of recurring role in season 3. House is fresh, a stubborn, cynical and sarcastic doctor. But the series is very good.

Best New TV Serial:
Nominess :
- Heroes
- Gossip Girl

Winner : Gossip Girl
Heroes is great, but gossip girl is outstanding. Heroes is like X-Men serial, the story was good, but I think Gossip Girl wins because it offers more realistic plot, plus nice songs in each episode.

Misc
Notable Actors and Actresses:
- Haley Bennet
- Blake Lively
- Katheryn Winnick
- Evangeline Lilly
- Wentworth Miller
- Josh Holloway

Christmas 2007

..Though it's been said many times....many ways...Merry Christmas...to you....

Listened to Tommy Page's song, You Make Christmas Feel Like Heaven this evening and it reminded me of how long I haven't heard his songs. He was famous (esp in Asia) back in early 90's, along with NKOTB, Tiffany and Debbie Gibson.

Not so long after that the radio broad casted Archbishop of Jakarta Archdiocese's Christmas message. Reminded me of last nite sermon given by Pastor Sapto. He reminded us to be fairer, wiser, and reflect our faith more. Sounded simple, but not that simple when it comes to daily life.

It's my fourth day of holiday. The day after tomorrow gonna go back to work. It felt great to have holiday after all this time. I forgot how it feels to woke up at 10 AM, listening music, browsing, hang out, take a nap...just doing unimportant (and unproductive) things...lolzz...But hey, we need to blow off some steam every once in a while right. Beside, I took the time to cleanin up my closet, sewing some shorts and shirts. There are some buttons missing. How long has it been since the last time I sew? Gosh...it's been about almost 10 years...I still remember Bu Yustin taught us various kind of sew style...A subject I excelled (I was even better than some girls back then...:D:D) and found quite useful....

Tommy Page's voice brought me back to those junior high school times....I even bought his (original) CD. It was quite expensive, esp for junior high kid. I was quite a big fan of him. I like his gentle voice, suits for singing mellow n love songs...Ermm.....I guess the thing I need to do is looking for my 'you'....that will make Christmas feel (more) like heaven...

Tommy Page - You Make Christmas Feel Like Heaven

It's that special time of year
and I'm so glad you're here with me forever
There's no place that I'd rather be
and with you by the Christmas tree together

A choir of angels the brightest above
There's so many things I'm dreaming of
You make Christmas feel like heaven
When snowflakes start to fall I hear your spirit call
cause you make Christmas feel like heaven
When I look into your eyes that's when I realize
oh I'm in heaven

A time to reach and touch someone
to give some hope where there is none, just sorrow
A dream for every girl and boy
A time to spread the Christmas joy for tomorrow

A choir of angels the brightest above
There's so many things I'm dreaming of
You make Christmas feel like heaven
When snowflakes start to fall I hear your spirit call
cause you make Christmas feel like heaven
When I look into your eyes that's when I realize
oh I'm in heaven

Silent night (silent night)
holy night (holy night)
All is calm, all is bright (all is bright)
Round yon Virgin Mother and Child
Silent night
Mother and Child
Holy

You make Christmas feel like heaven
When snowflakes start to fall I hear your spirit call
cause you make Christmas feel like heaven
When I look into your eyes that's when I realize
oh I'm in heaven...

Christmas Eve 2007

Hmmm….Just short and random things that happened lately. Finally managed to fix Karen. Her front left sign lamp is working as it supposed to be now. Those darn rats bit the cable. Luckily it wasn’t hard to identify the cause (and fix it with a little help from isolation tape). Got the flat rear left tire fixed first thing in the morning after I woke up, bought the tape and battery for the car alarm. And before lunch time, Karen was back in shape. Well not 100% since the central lock had this tiny issue on left rear door. It opened perfectly using alarm and central lock. But it couldn’t be locked centrally (which I believe defies the term central lock…it should be called central open…lolzz). I need to get that fixed too. Plus the wiper…still have quite a homework…What is it with this left things??…they don’t work well…*hmmmmm

After taking care of Karen, watched Underworld (again) and waitttt….who’s that guy who’s playing Michael Corvin’s workmate??? Yeahhh…my eyes were right. He’s none other than Wentworth “Michael Scofield” Miller…Never realized that he played a small role in Underworld, then again he became famous after shaving his head and went to jail, only to break from it and on the process rescuing his brother from death sentence (No, this is not real, it’s just a plot of Prison Break :D). Kate Beckinsale was cool and sexy in latex….*slurrppp….we want more…we want moreee……

Speedy was up on Sunday, thanks to it, I could manage my fantasy premier league team. Went to Kemayoran (again) with David and Agus, after 2 hours of singing. Happy Puppy had some new song collection, such as Letto – Sebelum Cahaya, Gwen – 4 in the morning, new clip of Peterpan – Menghapus Jejakmu, Gigi – 11 Januari, Andra and the backbone – Sempurna, Nidji – Biarlah, Josh Groban – Broken Vow…Niceeee!!! After they bought shoes, we went back to Gading and watched Quickie Express. I was reluctant at first to watch it, cause I thought it would be like typical Indonesian movie. But it was a good movie. Very hilarious….lolzzz….

Today was good too. Had a long sleep, something I haven’t had in a long time. I really miss holidays….Went to Royal for while, meeting Cynthia there to fit the suit for the best man. Then back home, took a nap (again)….hahahahaha I felt like a pig…

Attended afternoon Christmas Eve mass with Eddy n Devi. It felt quite different, but when the Silent Night was sung, the nuance was in the air. The mass was quite fast, maybe because there’s no baptism ceremony this year. There were some people I knew. Greeted them, had a chit chat then went back home…

Well..it is Christmas Eve…so allow me to say this earlier…. Merry Christmas!

May the spirit of Christmas fills your heart with warmth, with joy…and may it also brings peace to your family and home, along with all the blessings…

Silent Night

Silent night, Holy night
All is calm, all is bright
Round yon Virgin Mother and Child
Holy Infant so tender and mild
Sleep in Heavenly peace
Sleep in Heavenly peace

Silent night, Holy night
Shepherds quake at the sight
Glories stream from Heaven afar
Heavenly hosts sing Hallelujah
Christ, the Savior is born
Christ, the Savior is born

Silent night, Holy night
Son of God, love’s pure light
Radiant beams from thy Holy face
With the dawn of redeeming grace
Jesus, Lord, at thy birth
Jesus, Lord, at thy birth

(Not Just) Another Wedding Reception

*snorrtttt
Have this runny nose since Friday...and today it’s been completed with cough…

Last nite I attended Agus’ wedding reception. After missed Reine’s wedding last week, I was sure I wouldn’t miss Agus’. It’s not just another wedding reception. Lots of Accenturian came. I even met my uncle by coincidence last nite. It happened that the bride’s parents are my uncle’s neighbor. Met Januar again also last nite after so long. The food was delicious. Lontong Cap Gomeh and the crab ball was great. It’s too bad that I wasn’t in my fullest condition. The reception went on quite fast though it’s a lil bit late. The reception closed another week in December as the year end was approaching.

Woke up at around 9 AM on Sunday. Eddy came and brought the Macromedia Flash installer. Feeling much better after a long, good night sleep. Went to C4, did some quick shopping. Went back home and prepared to go to JF. Met Agus in front of Happy Puppy just when I was dialing his number. David already arrived and was waiting for us at Dante. He called me earlier when I was about to go there. I never thought that we were about to karaoke but it was an offer I couldn’t refuse :D. We sang for two hours, it felt like quite some time, though the last time I went karaoke was on Thursday..lolzz…After that we went to JF to see (and buy some shoes). After looking around for about two hours (plus eating ‘nasi padang’), David was the only one who succeeded in buying a pair of shoes. I didn’t find what I was looking for and Agus unfortunately didn’t get the right size…JF was not too crowded but there were some security guy around. Later out I found out that it was used to held Asian Idol. We are really a tripod…three musketeers…even David sent me an sms in the morning and used the term…Single Formation (Formasi Jomblo)…lollzzz…But we really had great time…love you guys..Dropped them off at Gading then I went to Agus’ wedding reception.

Watching Serendipity again for the…(I lost count) times after I woke up on Saturday morning. Feeling quite okay. Wanna write something about Serendipity but I’ll save it for next time. Anyway it’s always nice to see Kate Beckinsake, esp in the movie that made me fall in love with her…hahaha….After that I slept (again)…Really need to get fit so I could play futsal in the evening. Woke up again at around 3 sth PM, got ready and then went to St. James church to attend afternoon mass. Maybe it’s true that mind has an amazing power, the power of suggestion. After the mass, I felt much better, thus I went to pick up Jef and we went to play futsal. After that Saturday nite I think I know why football players aren’t supposed to play even when they only catch a cold. It felt different, my body was not 100%. But still I pushed myself and managed to score four goals. Well not bad, but I know my limit. I stopped playing after the fourth goal, rested, then took a shower. Darn, the feeling of sport was great…we didn’t eat after that, instead we went back home and I took a nice long sleep…with some minor injuries from futsal game.

Not feeling too good on Friday morning but I still push myself since we’re in the middle of Integration Testing. Got worse after lunch, I could feel my head was getting hot. But still the integration testing succeeded to occupy my mind till nite. Went home quite early to get a decent sleep and restore my strength (Yeah 8 PM is considered early…lolzzz).

Nothing much that I can still remember from Thursday, but the highlight of the day was surely the late nite karaoke session at Inul Vizta Plangi. Satria asked me if I was interested to join Wen Wen n friends; I said ok if the test ran smoothly. But the test didn’t go as expected so I had to do some investigation. Racing with time, I managed to get to the bottom of the problem, asked the XI team to reprocess, but it was impossible to process new file so we had to call it a day. I went to Plangi afterward; it was raining along the way. Yeah right, just when I rode motorcycle. I almost bailed out but near Casablanca the rain stopped. So I decided to go anyway. Satria came later on to join us. Too bad Inul Vizta wasn’t as good as Happy Puppy, but we still had some good times there… And I’m pretty sure that the rain was the cause of this runny nose I’m having…Well…I wanna go home now, so this is it…

This song is for you guys...cause we are a fu**in tripod...yeahhhh

“Bersenang-senanglah..Karna hari ini yang kan kita rindukan
Di hari nanti sebuah kisah klasik untuk masa depan
Bersenang-senanglah..Karna waktu ini yang 'kan kita banggakan di hari tua…”

Semoga kita selalu menjadi sebuah kisah klasik untuk masa depan…

Sheila On 7 - Sebuah Kisah Klasik

Jabat tanganku, mungkin untuk yang terakhir kali
Kita berbincang tentang memori di masa itu
Peluk tubuhku usapkan juga air mataku
Kita terharu seakan tidak bertemu lagi

Bersenang-senanglah

Reff:

Mungkin diriku masih ingin bersama kalian
Mungkin jiwaku masih haus sanjungan kalian

Perfect 10

..Got a secret
Can you keep it?
Swear this one you'll save
Better lock it, in your pocket
Taking this one to the grave
If I show you then I know you
Won't tell what I said
Cause two can keep a secret
If one of them is dead...

Watched Gossip Girl season 1 ep 10 on Tuesday nite, though I was very exhausted. It was perfect! Well done! The storyline was great, the dialogs were witty, and the songs were excellent. Reminded me of Smallville season 1 ep 10 (Shimmer). The scene between Kristin Kreuk and Tom Welling on the barn with sunset on the background.... No wonder #10 has this kind of special aura....football maestros wear this number. 10 represents....perfection....

"..I can't help myself...I never should have let you....let me go.." *Music started to play (The day after, I looked for the song and found it....it's a beautiful sad song)....Dan kissed Serena, carried her, she looked upstairs...Lily smiled at her....

Gossip Girl: (scene cuts to Lily looking at Dan and Serena) It's often said that no matter the truth, people see what they want to see. Some people might take a step back and find out they were looking at the same big picture, all along. (scene cuts to CeCe taking prescription pills) Some people might see that their lies have almost caught up to them. (scene cuts to Nate and Blair in bed) Some people might see what was there all along. (scene cuts to Chuck with baggages walking to his limo) And then there are those other people; the ones who run as far as they can so they don't have to look at themselves.
Chauffer: Where to, Mr. Bass?
Chuck: (looks at the picture of Blair and Nate on the newspaper) The airport.
Gossip Girl: And as for me, I can see clearly now. XOXO Gossip Girl.

As Kristen Bell narrated...the song kept on playing.....

Timbaland feat One Republic - Apologize

I'm holding on your rope,
Got me ten feet off the ground
I'm hearing what you say but I just can't make a sound
You tell me that you need me
Then you go and cut me down, but wait
You tell me that you're sorry
Didn't think I'd turn around, and say...

Chorus
That it's too late to apologize
It's too late
I said it's too late to apologize
It's too late

I'd take another chance, take a fall
Take a shot for you
And I need you like a heart needs a beat
But it's nothing new - yeah
I loved you with the a fire red-
[Apologize lyrics on http://www.metrolyrics.com]

Now it's turning blue, and you say...
"Sorry" like an angel
Heaven let me think was you
But I'm afraid...

Chorus

Whoaa ohhh...

Bridge (guitar/piano)

hey, hey...

It's too late to apologize, it's too late
I said it's too late to apologize, it's too late
I said it's too late to apologize, yeah-
I said it's too late to apologize, yeah-
I'm holding on your rope, got me ten feet... off the ground...

Is it too late to apologize???

Late Night Journey

Intended save this post number for year end, but changed my mind after last night. After finishing debug process (later found out that the data from table wasn't correct, not the function module that I created), I went home. Dropped Fitri off near her house, stopped by at Multiplus Gadink to send some books to my sis, something that has been overdue too long. Arrived there at almost 11 PM, talked to the guy there that I wanted to send package to Oz. Long story short, I paid and walked out the door.

There in front of multiplus, two little boys rummaging trash bin. I didn't really notice them, not until I opened the car door, sat, turned on the engine and the head lamps. Showered by the light from the head lamps, I looked at them and I felt even more exhausted than I'd already been. They were probably still 7-8 years old. Both of them were collecting plastic bottles and soft drink cans. The sight kinda broke my heart...such young age, yet have to face the bitterness in life. They're supposed to be sleeping in their warm bed, dreaming about moon, toys, or whatever...Such an irony remembering Kelapa Gading is considered as one of elite neighborhood. What does the future hold for them? I dunno....Jewel's song was instantly played on my mind..."It's a shame there's no one to blame...For all the pain that life brings" Who's to blame for their condition? their parents? the government? or even higher....God? I wonder does my sympathy do any good? Surely it doesn't change their condition. One thing I'm sure, I was again reminded to be grateful for everything that I have. It may not much, but there are still lots of people who have less. And beside this realization...another Jewel's song played..."In the end only kindness matters" Her songs are good....Social issues...*sighhh.....

Jewel - Stand

Walk in a corner shop
See a shoplifting cop
See the old lady with a gun
See the hero try to run
Nothing's what it seems, I mean
It's not all dirty, but it's not all clean
There's children paying bills
There's monks buying thrills
There's pride for sale in magazines
There's pills for rent to make you clean
Marvin Gaye, there's no brother, brother
Woody Guthrie's land can't feed Mother

Reff:
Mothers weep, children sleep
So much violence ends in silence
It's a shame there's no one to blame
For all the pain that life brings
If you will just take me
It might just complete me
And together we can make a stand

A waitress brings me lunch
We meet but do not touch
On TV, D.C. is selling lies
While in the corner, King's dream dies
Go to the counter, pay for me and my friend
A homeless man pulls out a roll, says it's on him
The mayor has no cash
He said he spent it on hookers and hash

Reff

You will love me, I will love you (x2)

Mothers weep, children sleep
So much violence ends in silence
It's a shame there's no one to blame
For all the pain that life brings
If you will just take me
It might just complete me
And together we can make a stand

Jewel - Hands

If I could tell the world just one thing
It would be that we're all OK
and not to worry 'cause worry is wasteful
and useless in times like these
I won't be made useless
I won't be idle with despair
I will gather myself around my faith
For light does the darkness most fear

My hands are small, I know
But they're not yours, they are my own
But they're not yours, they are my own
and I am never broken

Poverty stole your golden shoes
But it didn't steal your laughter
and heart ache came to visit me
But I knew it wasn't ever after

We'll fight, not out of spite
For someone must stand up for what's right
'Cause where there's a man who has no voice
There ours shall go singing

My hands are small I know
But they're not yours, they are my own
But they're not yours, they are my own
and I am never broken

In the end only kindness matters
In the end only kindness matters

I will get down on my knees, and I will pray
I will get down on my knees, and I will pray
I will get down on my knees, and I will pray

My hands are small I know
But they're not yours, they are my own
But they're not yours, they are my own
and I am never broken

My hands are small I know
But they're not yours, they are my own
But they're not yours, they are my own
and I am never broken
We are never broken

We are God's eyes
God's hands
God's mind
We are God's eyes
God's hands
God's heart
We are God's eyes
God's hands
God's eyes
We are God's hands

Scrambled....Egg?

Ermm....dunno what title I should give for this post...since lots of random thoughts running through my mind at the moment, I think it'd be nice to scramble them and add some salt, pepper, spring onion and cook them....lollzzz....Okay, let's begin shall we

Watched two good movies last week. Bought the DVDs at the bazaar that was held here in Arkadia Green Office Complex. They're quite pricey but definitely worth the money. They had excellent qualites, except for 'The spirit of the sword'. I shouldn't have bought it..It's hard to tell mandarin movie which already has good quality. Only bought it because there were Gillian Chung and Nicholas Tse. The three other were Good Luck Chuck, The Nanny Diaries, and Bloodrayne 2: Deliverance.

First movie I watched was Good Luck Chuck, starring Jessica Alba and Dane Cook. I think it can be considered as romantic comedy. The story is about Charlie Logan, a dentist who was hexed when he was a little boy by a gothic girl after spin the bottle game. The funny thing (which I don't quite understand) is that apparently, every woman who sleeps with Charlie, will find her true love which is the guy right after Charlie. Another (questionable) thing here, true love was illustrated by marriage. Does marriage equals to true love? (Funny remembering US has high divorce rate). Anyway, Charlie met this girl, none other than Jessica Alba (her character name was Cam Wexler). He was attracted to her and he was worried that he'd be just another 'stepping stone', that after she sleeps with him, she'll end up marrying the guy after him. Then the madness started. He called her every minutes, sent her flowers and even dressed up in penguin costume (Jess Alba character loved penguins) and came to the sea world where she worked to surprise her. His vigorous attempt back fired. She was overwhelmed with his attentions and broke it off. After that Charlie kept a distance from her and did almost nothing except one thing that would make her happy (beside staying away). Long story short, the film ended happily.

Enough with the intro, this movie reminded me of a saying; "Loving someone is just like holding grains of sand. If you hold too tight, the sands will slip away between your fingers. If you hold too loose, the wind will blow the sands. Either way, eventually the sands will go away". That's what happened with Chuck (Charlie Logan). At first he was holding to tightly, afraid to let go, afraid to give some space. Jess line was a good one on this: "I want to be a part of your world, I don't wanna be your whole world". After that, by keeping some distance, not doing anything, Chuck was holding too loose and he almost lost her...hadn't been his dramatic action buying extra expensive airplane ticket to the south pole only to tell Jess how he feels. I think in every relationship we need some space every once in a while. Just like some lines in Gun's and Roses song, November Rain:

'Sometimes I need some time, on my own
Sometimes I need some time, lll alone
Everybody needs some time, on their own
Don't you know you need some time, all alone'

The question is now...How tight is our grip should be? How do we know the right measure? Ermmm....I think every person has his/her own standard, that's why in relationship there has to be a good communication. It takes two to tango, it takes effort from both sides to make a relationship works.

The second movie I watched was The Nanny Diaries. Bought it because it was starred by Scarlett Johansson, Laura Linney and Chris Evans (Jess Biel's ex :D)...plus Alicia Keys. It was about a fresh graduate named Annie Braddock (Scarlett) whose major in Finance and minor in Anthropology and tries to find her place in the world. Her mother wants her to get a good position in business world, while Annie herself seemed to be more interested in anthropology field study. Anyway she ended became a nanny for an elite family on the fifth avenue, Manhattan's Upper East Side (kinda reminded me of Gossip Girl :D), named "The Xs". Mrs. X was played excellenty by Laura Linney. She looked gorgeous. While she's working as a nanny, she learned that not everything is as beautiful as it seems. Wealthy families has problems of their own too. They might look happy on the outside, but everything is not always what it seems.

Before I spoil too much, I recommend to watch these movies..They are nice to watch. And if you're a fan of game (and Natassia Malthe) you might want to watch Bloodrayne 2. I've noticed her since she played Typhoid in Elektra, back in 2005. She's another good 'product of '70 generation...*grin Just look at this beauty... :D

Enough with the movies; Yesterday after two months (or was it three?) hiatus, me and my homies finally went karaoke again. Too bad Happy Puppy server experienced some kind of problem so we must cut our karaoke session short. There were many new songs we didn't get the chance to sing. It was fun though hanging out together again. Nothing new except David is resigning. Today's his last working day. Other than that...we're still three musketeers....three (not so) lonely guys...
.lollzzz

Well...my brain is exhausted now. I'm gonna sign off here and leave you with Sheila on 7's song. Coming up next, 2007 Dreamer's Award and Resolution Review...

'Pastilah diriku terlalu wibawa dan tampan untuk selalu kau miliki' lollzzzz

Flirt

You Are a Natural Flirt

Believe it or not, you're a really effective flirt.
And you're so good, you hardly notice that you're flirting.
Your attitude and confidence make you a natural flirt.
And the fact that you don't know it is just that more attractive!

It's been a while since I tried blogthings quiz. I think this quiz is suitable for today's topic, Flirt. Who hasn't done it? Come on, raise your hand, don't be shy....lolzzz... *Like I'm talking to a bunch of teenagers. I looked it up in a dictionary and flirt is defined as talk or behave amorously, without serious intentions. Hmmm....Leads to the next questions... Is it okay to flirt? Who can we flirt safely with? Is it okay to flirt when you're in a relationship (Yes by this I mean to flirt with other guy/girl that is not your spouse)?

Ermmm...I don't have the exact objective answer for this coz I'm sure everyone has their own opinion about this matter. I just wanna say that for me, I think flirting is okay to be done if and only if we (me and the party I flirt with) are both singles. Other than that, it's not (quite) okay..well at least for me. Why? First, to me when you're a relationship, you have to commit to the person you're in a relationship with. By flirting, it seems like you're sharing those (though without serious intention) amorous act with another....it just doesn't feel right.... Second; not always, but flirting can lead to other things, for extreme measure, cheating. Yeah, maybe flirting subtly is safe at first, but as time goes by it can get deeper and who knows that at some point it becomes serious. Well, that if both feels the same. But if one thinks that he/she only flirts while the other feel that he/she is becoming serious then it might lead to false hope...etc... in the end, relationships might be broken.

What if the person who flirts doesn't realize that he/she is flirting? It may lead to misunderstanding....maybe like me, looking from the quiz result above....lolzzz... Well, I must ask the ones who know me in person about that...Anyway, I guess flirt comes first with intention. If it's becoming serious, then both should talk about it...again we need an honest communication.

Enough with the lecture...lolzzz...it's time for a little update. After a month without futsal, last saturday I finally played again. It sure felt soooo good.... After hitting the crossbar 4 times, I managed to scored 7 goals and 3 assists. Two goals were scored when I was playing as goalie...nice...I'm back in the field baby....YEAHHH!!!! I only targeted for 3 goals, but when the third came, I was still wanting for more (talking about human is never satisfied :D). Well, it's a blast, though it was really a physical exertion. As usual, after playing, we went to get some dinner. We ate fried rice and chicken satay. After that long night, I slept all day long on Sunday. Needed to recharge my battery... Nothing much on Sunday, just read Tintin and DC comics that have been there in my HDD but often forgotten. :D

Well...it's time for lunch now, here's a song from R Kelly....I'm a Flirt

R. Kelly - I'm A Flirt

(feat. T.I., T-Pain)

[Chorus: R. Kelly]
(i'm a, i'm a, i'm a, i'm a) flirt
Soon as i see her walk up in the club (i'm a flirt)
Winkin eyes at me, when i roll up on them dubs (i'm a flirt)
Sometimes when i'm with my chick on the low (i'm a flirt)
And when she's wit her man lookin at me, damn right (i'm a flirt)
So homie don't bring your girl to meet me cuz (i'm a flirt)
And baby don't bring your girlfriend to eat cuz (i'm a flirt)
Please believe it, unless your game is tight and u trust her
Then don't bring her around me cuz (i'm a flirt)

[Verse 1: R. Kelly]
Now swear to tell the truth
And the whole truth
When it comes to hoes i be pimpin like i supposed to
Rollin like i supposed to
Shinin like i supposed to
In the club, fuckin wit honeys like i supposed to
I don't understand it when a nigga bring his girlfriend to club
Freakin all on the floor wit his girlfriend in the club
And wonderin why all these playas tryin to holla at her
Just soon as she go to the bathroom, nigga i'm gon holla at her
A dog on the prowl when i'm walkin through the mall
If i could man i probably would flirt wit all of y'all
Yeah, yeah homie u say she yo girlfriend
But when i step up to her i'ma be like, "cousin"
Believe me man, this is how them playas do it in the chi
And plus we got them playerette flirters in the chi
Now the moral of the story is cuff yo bitch
Cuz hey i'm black, handsome, i sing plus i'm rich and (i'm a flirt)

(i'm a, i'm a, i'm a, i'm a)

[T.I. Speaking:]
Hey homie, if u ain't gettin no money
U better keep her away from me ya dig.

[Verse 2: T.I.]
Well if u love ya girl
And wanna keep ya girl
Don't be walkin up and askin me to meet ya girl
Because i'm well enough a flirt when i speak to girl
She winked her eyes on the slide
I seent u girl
Better treat your girl right
Cuz another man will
Better eat ya girl like another man will
Cuz u leave your wife
And i see ya wife
That be for real
How long u think that's finna be ya wife
Well i'm livin the life
You just gettin it right
Your old lady look at me
Cuz u ain't hittin it right
She probably used to like u
Cuz u the bitter type
That's until i came along
And put some dick in her life
Wanna see how that ass lookin thick in da light
I noticed she was checkin me
And diggin the ice
And if i get that tonight
Better hit that twice
I can even make her mine
If i hit that price
You know smack that thang
Sit that right
Up on that dresser
Yeah that's right
Pullin on her hair
Like we gettin in a fight
Yeah i know it's kinda tight
But it'll suit 'er just right
So if yo girl sexy
And she test me
Don't be upset g
Cuz u might catch me
Tryin to catch a glance up her skirt
The mclaren in reverse
Then if i see her and i like her then i'm a flirt

[Verse 3: T-Pain]
(when i, when i, when i, when i) pull up to club
All the shawties be like (damn twenty-eight,eights)
Then i be like girl u know just who i am (don't hate, hate)
Say i done fell in love wit a stripper yall
All i do is flirt with her, and i get them draws
And i don't need no help, i got it down pact
Teddy paine was born to flirt now u can't down that
Now i'm flirt with her whether i'm in or out of town
That's why they call me teddy bend her ass down
I be like como se llamas lil mama? mi llamo pain, what is yo name?
I'm feelin yo vibe
And i'm hopin u feel the same
I'm a wink my eye and let u know i got the game
When i pass by i know exactly what u say
He's so fly
And yes, he's so coo
Hey shawty(hey shawty)
What it do
He mad cuz i'm lookin but i already fucked her
I got these niggas mad cuz (i'm a flirt)

[Chorus: R.

(i'm a, i'm a, i'm a, i'm a)

[Verse 4: R. Kelly]
It's the remix
Now if u walk up in the club
Wit a bad chick
And she lookin at me
Then i'm gon hit
Man jackin for chicks
I tried to quit
But i'm playa homie
So i had to hit
While u buyin her drinks (in the club)
Actin like u (in love)
Stuntin like u (all thug)
We was (switchin numbers)
She lookin at u when i walk by
U turn yo head, she wink her eye
I can't help if she checkin for a platinum type of guy
She be callin me daddy, and i be callin her mommy
She be callin u kelly, when yo name is tommy
I don't know what yall be thinkin
When u bring em round me (mane)
Let me remind u that i am the king of r&b (mane)
Do u know what that means
That means if u love yo chick
Don't bring her to the vip
Cuz i might leave wit yo chick
Just keepin it real, my nigga
It's a playa's feel, my nigga
Don't take no bitch to the club when u just met her, my nigga
Cuz i'm flirt wit her (right)
He gon flirt wit her (right)
And if she lickin dat good shyt
She gon flirt wit em

[Chorus: R.

Kells, T.I., T-Pain
Ladies, if yo man ain't hittin' it right
Just call tha numba on tha screen
I'll be at yo rescue
